Raycast and the App Store

  • A Raycast extension built on the CLI.
  • Ramback Lite on the Mac App Store, for ports and dev servers.
1.0Oct 2026Release

Disk, and the first release

  • Disk tab: old simulator runtimes, DerivedData, Android images no emulator uses, stale Gradle versions. The scan is free, cleaning is Pro.
  • The CLI and an MCP server for coding agents, inside the app: ramback status, stop, free and mcp. Docs
  • Pro license keys through Polar: $19 once for 2 Macs, Team $69 for 10.
  • A notarized DMG, with updates through Sparkle.
0.2Oct 17, 2026Development build

Warnings, rules and Undo

  • Memory pressure warnings. When macOS reports warning or critical, Ramback offers to free the biggest idle rows, up to 4 GB, at most once every 30 minutes.
  • Ten built-in rules: Xcode or Android Studio quitting, battery, sleep, idle Gradle daemons, idle dev servers, a device limit, an agent session ending, a deleted project folder, end of day.
  • Rules never force, and never touch pins, databases or builds.
  • Undo for simulators, emulators and containers, from the notification or from Activity.
  • Activity: every stop, what caused it and how much it freed, with the week's total.
  • 14 days of Pro on first launch, no card.

The Running panel

  • One pass over the process table finds simulators, emulators, Gradle and Kotlin daemons, Xcode helpers, the Docker VM and containers, bundlers, databases, tunnels, dev servers and AI agents.
  • Each process belongs to one row, so memory is never counted twice.
  • Stops each thing the way its own tool does: simctl, adb, docker or SIGTERM. Force is only offered.
  • The dev stack's total in the menu bar, with a pressure glow. Rows by project or by type, pins and Clean slate.
  • ramback status and ramback status --json in the terminal.
